Director of Strategic Initiatives

The Director of Strategic Initiatives is a critical part of the company’s growth engine and is responsible for building relationships that drive direct market share and revenue opportunities for the company by working with the largest OEM and Strategic Parters in the Powersports, RV and Marine Industry. This position will add immeasurable value internally to the organization as well as positioning its suite of products to win with prospects and clients alike.

**This role is 100% remote**

What You’ll Do

  • Build and lead a high-performance team that will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships and revenue with Trader Interactive's OEM & Association & Partnership customers

  • Leverage Trader Interactive’s wide range of solutions to gain buy-in from Strategic Partner opportunities and OEM accounts, developing and strengthening their brand loyalty and creating repeat business opportunities

  • Utilize experience with large deal sizes and long-term sales cycles to approach new OEM partners and provide the best terms possible for existing OEM accounts

  • Work alongside the top experts across the company to assist in developing pricing, contract terms, and winning strategy for market capture

  • Create revenue potential through a mix of warm leads, cold contacting, business development, client management, and overall strategy creation for OEM use cases

  • Stay current on technologies and developments within the market, noting competitor positioning and providing insights to company strategy

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in OEM partner sales, team management, & strategy development 

  • 3+ years of direct recreation industry experience and relationships

  • Travel Required, approximately 25% (conferences, stakeholder meetings)

  • Exemplifies our core values and models our leadership competencies  

  • Software, telecom, wireless, cloud, or similarly complex tech stack background ideal

  • Connections with OEMs, VARs, integrators, enterprise clients, operators, etc. a plus

  • Must have experience with long sales cycles, large $MM deals, and medium to large business accounts

  • Proven ability to develop strong account relationships, leading to repeat business and long-term partnerships

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the business, from C-suite to engineers, to best determine pain points, collect insight on the needs of clients, and create applicable contracts

  • Inventive approach to business solutions and emerging technology stacks, with the ability to look at a business, identify inefficiencies, and leverage tech to improve processes

Bonus Points

  • Demonstrated track record of over achievement of budget & KPI expectations

  • Demonstrated implementation and management of modern consultative sales methodologies

  • CRM experience, preferably Salesforce
