What You’ll Do
This is your opportunity to make a big impact on the daily success of Trader Interactive’s remote and hybrid employee base and be a critical team member to the IT Support team. You will provide support services to employees with first-level technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop, or network services. With guidance, you will create and track help desk tickets in the system to ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution to issues and install and support licensed and internal software /hardware and ensure that equipment is shipped and deployed effectively.
- Configure, install, upgrade, move, troubleshoot, and repair computers, printers, phones, and associated peripherals
- Provide guidance to employees through the process of fixing technical issues and troubleshoot mid tier IT issues and escalate complex issues to the appropriate team member
- Respond to support tickets entered into the tracking system in a timely manner
- Assist employees with technical issues or questions relating to computer hardware or software devices
- Communicate recurring issues with computer hardware or software to management and document common support procedures for employees to follow
- Track and coordinate equipment orders to new hires and accept delivery of equipment and supplies and perform necessary inventory and storage tasks
- Assist in maintaining pool of loaner laptops and other equipment
What We’re Looking For
- 0-2 years of experience in a technical support role
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with solid communication skills, both written and verbal, especially when speaking to a non-technical audience
- Ability to troubleshoot computer and network issues
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures
- Exposure to working with remote desktop applications
- Experience handling computers, hardware components, software issues, and network technologies
- Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting personal computers in a managed desktop environment
Bonus Points
- Previous experience working with Active Directory
- Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or information technology
